Don?t Forget Women When Buying Cigar Favors
Topic: Cigar Favors

Cigars are often thought of as a man’s tradition, the cigar to show power in front of a client, or the wedding cigars and birth announcement cigars. Yet, there are plenty of woman out there who want their own cigars as well.

Of course after childbirth, that is probably the last thing a woman has on her mind, but for the woman who appreciates a good cigar, why not order some custom cigar bands for her too? They make great keepsakes, and after hours of learning to adapt to having a newborn child in her life, she would appreciate a nice relaxing moment with a cigar just as much as her husband would.

So when it comes to buying cigar favors, or passing out cigars for birth announcements, do not forget to include the woman in the picture. She carried the baby for nine months, even if the mother does not smoke, she should get a keepsake just as well. She deserves an opportunity to celebrate and relax, even if it is a few days later.

What Goes Into A Good Cigar Case?

Ever wondered what goes into a good cigar case? Hopefuly good cigars! Seriously though, a cigar case is a case designed to port your cigars, all the while retaining the humid environment of the cigars. There are often just two types of cigar cases, and they are often categorized as follows:

Spanish Cedarlined Cases - These cases have an inner compartment constrcucted of Spanish Cedar or sometimes a cedar veneer. These are usually quite strong, able to withstand a great deal of abuse without damaging the cigars. These cigar cases have a top and a bottom, and one side usually able to slide to the other. The sliding can be further adjusted based to fit the length of the cigars in question.

Telescopic Cigar Cases - Also usually sliding cases, they have grooves to fit the cigars. These cases tend to be relatively soft in construction, with the shell of the case usually made of leather, often with designs impressed upon them. Now the next time you see one of these handed out as cigar favors, you'll be able to speak knowledgably about them!

Giving Cigars As Favors
If you're thinking of giving cigars as favors at your next event or social hoopla, here's some of the nuts and bolts about how to use cigar favors to your best advantage.

Company picnic cigars are gaining in popularity, (partly because smoking indoors is sometimes problematical!) and this would be something to look into if your event is scheduled for the great outdoors.

Wherever it is, you should try and come up with custom cigar labels that reflect just what you're trying to convey. They are very inexpensive, and when wrapped around a great cigar make a bold statement about you!

Make sure you order early enough for the event, and that you have a more than adequate supply. You don't want to leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth by running out of the coolest party favors they've seen in a while!

Consider using cigars at your next company or social event. You may be pleasantly surprised at the outcome!

Cigar Rollers - Art and Science Rolled Into One!
A product of a bygone era, cigar rollers combine patience,
skill, and experience to make each cigar a thing of beauty.
Most of the famous and highly skilled cigar rollers come
from either Cuba, the Dominican Republic, or other Central
American countries that grow tobacco.

This isn't a job for someone who likes to move quickly.
It's slow, precise work to shape the form of the filler and
wrap the leaves just so. While there are obviously machine-
made cigars, human cigar rollers consistently produce the
best cigars available. In fact, Cuba even labels their
cigars with the tags "hecho a mano" for finished by hand
cigars, and "totalmente a mano", which means totally by hand.

Cigar rollers must take care to keep the tobacco moist, in
particular their wrappers. They employ special knives for
the process of cigar rolling, called a "chaveta".

Cigar rollers work at their craft for a long time, and the
difference between their work and that of a machine can be
felt the instant you get one into your hand. Test me on
this one!
